March Heat

This March, heat is increased. With and without shadows it rules the entire day. I was traveling for some days, to the South part of Kerala, business. But the noon everywhere is alike. Sleeping streets, calm trees, sleepy eyes, thirst, dust… Even metros like Kochi is sleeping, soaring business. An advocate friend told me this will affect their client base also, the heat bringing down number of cases. People are not venturing out, if possible. In Palakkad, one of the hottest places of Kerala, the serenity it develops is awful, we feel so lonely in the midst of a Palakkad noon. Water scarcity is another issue here. Seeing the long queues, a fear slowly crawls up to the spine, a chill.
